My Kind Co is welcoming Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) our national youth theatre company, this summer to Balmain Town Hall! ATYP is proud to partner with My Kind Co to actively support the regeneration of Balmain Civic Precinct with creativity, arts and culture!

Join us in January for our ATYP school holiday drama workshops held locally for the first in time in the creative Inner West for young people from Year 3 to Year 9

‘ACTING ESSENTIALS’ for Years 7, 8 and 9 (High School) Monday - Friday 10am- 4pm

This workshop is designed to give young budding actors a set of ‘must-have’ skills. Spend the week learning from an ATYP industry actor as you build your strength as a performer with sessions on voice and movement, script analysis and scene work, character development and audition preparation. Participants in this workshop will explore different elements of performance and gain essential acting skills. Students will apply the techniques they learn to dynamic scenes from exciting, contemporary plays. Take on a character and work on a scene you’ve always wanted to play and extend your range, performing your scene for a ‘friends and family’ audience at the end of the week.
